PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demagnetizing device in which unpleasant noise due to vibration of a demagnetizing member is small, when demagnetization is performed. SOLUTION: In this demagnetizing device 21, since a demagnetizing coil 24 comprises a material whose mass density is smaller than that of copper, the mass of the demagnetizing coil 24 is small. Thereby a force is applied to a magnetic field shielding plate 22 by attenuated AC magnetic field which is generated from the demagnetizing coil 24 when demagnetization is performed, and the magnetic field shielding plate 22 is vibrated. Even if the magnetic shield plate 22 and the demagnetizing coil 24 apply forces to reinforce each other, the amplitude of vibration of the magnetic shield plate 22 is small at demagnetization, and the mass of material of the demagnetizing coil 24, the demagnetizing device 21 itself and a device or the like to which the demagnetizing device 21 is attached is small. |
