PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery that facilitates mounting of a conductive lead such as a positive electrode lead and a negative electrode lead to an insulator and can securely prevent the conductive lead from being short-circuited to a peripheral structure having a different polarity after the insulator is incorporated into a battery case. SOLUTION: A slit 19 for keeping the position of a conductive lead 4 is formed in the bottom wall of an insulator 7. An insertion hole 18 is formed apart from the slit 19, and both the hole 18 and the slit 19 are formed as a continuous hole. After the conductive lead 4 is inserted into the insertion hole 18, the foil-like conductive lead 4 can be fitted into the slit 19 without hurting or deforming it by inserting the conductive lead 4 into the slit 19 by shifting the insulator 7 sideward.
