PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a telephone set that copes with a speech service where a called party side bears a speech charge. SOLUTION: A display means 13 displays to which of a caller side or a called partly side a speech charge is borne on the basis of a charge type resulting from charge data received by a reception means 11 and detected by a detection means 12 in a caller side telephone set. The caller side telephone set counts the speech charge on the basis of charging information and informs a called telephone set of the speech charge at the end of a call. Or the caller side telephone set transmits the charging information to the called party side at start of the speech in the case that the called party side bears the speech charge.
