PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely confirm the test state at the time of performing a test on the host station side of network terminating equipment by transferring Q bit data to a line when a line standard (ANSI/T.601) and a terminal standard (ITU-T/I.430) are different. SOLUTION: This network terminating equipment 1A is provided with a line terminating part 2, a data processing part 3A and a terminal terminating part 4 and the data processing part 3A is provided with each part from a line reception multi-frame synchronization circuit 9 to a line transmission multi-frame insertion circuit 30 and generates the multi-frames of the common multiple cycle of the multi-frames on a line side and a terminal side. A compression processing for holding Q bits from a terminal by a fixed cycle is performed. Further, the processing of allocating multi-frame bits and the information of compressed Q bits from the terminal to free bits on the line is performed and the information of the compressed Q bits is transferred to the line as the Q bits from the terminal to a host station.
