PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implosion-proof reinforcing band and assembly method of a display enabling the realization of a display having good appearance. SOLUTION: In an implosion-proof reinforcing band 22, a protrusion 14 is mounted at a attaching portion 12 for attaching a cathode-ray tube to a case. Accordingly, when the attaching portion 12 is attached to a body 11 of the band 22 and also the band 22 is mounted to the cathode-ray tube, the protrusion 14 can be on the basis of position, thereby the protrusion 14 can be precisely positioned in the axis direction of the cathode-ray tube to a face portion of the cathode-ray. As a result, there are little space between basil of the case and the face portion of the cathode-ray tube, and the case may not be hardly deformed.
