HYBRID NON-UNIFORM MEMORY ARCHITECTURE AND SIMPLE CACHE-ONLY MEMORY ARCHITECTURE SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a hybrid architecture using first and second types of memories by permitting an S-COMA cache to transmit data from a node different from the plural nodes of a computer system through the use of a NUMA coherence sub-system. SOLUTION: A client node 42 is provided with an S-COMA cache 44 in a local real address space 46 independent of a home node 40, and a real address RAH used by the home node 40 is accompanied in communication between the home node 40 and the client node 42. The client node 42 converts the received real address in a NUMA directory 48 into a corresponding local real address RA by a boundary function 49. When a coherence action is required, the NUMA directory 48 receives or transmits data from a node different from the plural nodes.
