PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a bridge fall preventing structure in a short time by fitting a reinforcement member to the outer wall surface side of an abutment parapet formed on each of right and left abutments to form a fixing part, and disposing a PC cable through a bridge girder between both fixing parts. SOLUTION: A PC cable 6a passing a bridge girder 3 is fitted to a fixing part 10 formed on both sides of an outer wall of an abutment parapet 1a of right and left abutments 1A, 1B to construct a fall preventing structure E safely and in a short time without any influence on the passing vehicle under the bridge. The end of the PC cable 6a is provided with a bridge girder movement allowing means 20 formed by a rubber buffer member, a bearing plate, a spring member and a nut, whereby when the right and left abutments 1a, 1b are relatively varied due to a large earthquake, working force is applied to the PC cable 6a to support the bridge girder by the PC cable 6a. Thus, fall-down of the brige girder 3 which is the worst situation can be prevented.
