PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To move a man or a carriage, and the like over a mud-wall like edge in the event that the mud wall-like edge is present on a step of a passage obstacle. SOLUTION: This specific step-eliminating elevator installs a main elevator below step and a sub elevator in the form facing the main elevator and sandwiching a mud wall-like edge between the main elevator and the sub elevator, respectively. The sub elevator is provided with an abutting arm 2 extended from a platform 4 to as high as the platform 3 of the main elevator. One flat passage is formed to pass both the platforms and the upper surface of the edge through the step after waiting for upwardly pushing up the platform of the main elevator to abut the platform of the main elevator to the abutting arm 2 and when the main elevator reaches as high as the height of the sub elevator and the lift of the main elevator approaches the platform of the sub elevator as high as the height of the edge through the abutting arm 2.
