PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the electrophotographic photoreceptor superior in potential stability and image stability in long running operations by incorporating phthalocyanine compounds with titanium, aluminum, or the like metal atoms and having strong peaks in specified positions in Bragg angles in CuKαX ray diffraction, in a photosensitive layer. SOLUTION: The surface of the photosensitive layer contains Al, O, Ti, and Zr atoms, and the photosensitive layer contains chlorogallium- phthalocyanine, hydroxygallium-phthalocyanine, and oxytitanium-phthalocyanine having strong peaks in any of a-c Bragg (2θ±0.2 deg.) angles (a, 9.0 deg., 14.2 deg., 23.9 deg., 27.1 deg., b, 9.5 deg., 9.7 deg., 15.0 deg., 24.1 deg., 27.3 deg., c, 9.3 deg., 10.6 deg., 13.2 deg., 15.1 deg.. 26.3 deg.).
