PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a substrate capable of readily removing foulings by washing with water, etc., and excellent in persistence and durability by using a coating material capable of coating even the surface of a glass, a metal or further a substrate susceptible to thermal deterioration. SOLUTION: The characteristic of this substrate is to form a lower layer comprising an alumina layer or a mixed layer of alumina with silica and an upper layer containing phosphorus, silicon and oxygen thereon. In this case, the upper layer and the lower layer are formed in respective 0.1-100μm thickness.
