摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium oxide which has a high photocatalytic activity and is coatable at low temperatures and to improve the adhesion and transparency of coating material by using a liquid obtained by treating a titania sol solution, a titania gel body, or a titania gel/sol mixture with ozone gas and others as a titanium oxide coating material. SOLUTION: A titania sol solution, a titania gel body, or a titania sol/gel mixture is treated with ozone gas or mixed with titania powder or titania slurry to obtain a titanium oxide coating material. As a starting material for producing titania sol or titania gel, for example, titanium alkoxides and titanium nitride can be used. Water, an organic solvent, the mixture of them, desirably alcohols are preferably added as a solvent. Moreover, at least one of an acidic substance, an alkaline substance, a surfactant, and an alkoxide of metal excluding titanium is preferably added.
