PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for minimizing the dispersion of an odorous TRS-containing gas from a feeding system used for the treatment of a crushed cellulose fiber material. SOLUTION: This device is provided by feeding a cellulose material through a pressure-blocking device 19, elevating the pressure of the cellulose material from an inlet 18 to an exit 20 and discharging to a treating vessel 26 from the pressure-blocking device 19. The bad smelling gas from the pressure-blocking device 19, is discharged independently from the cellulose material discharged from the pressure-blocking device, and at least part of the malodorous gas discharged from the pressure-blocking device is compressed (e.g. by an eductor or a thermo-compressor 60) and reintroduced into a flow of the cellulose material in a downstream of the pressure-blocking device (e.g.; in a horizontal steam- treating vessel or a vessel in further downstream). In the horizontal steam- treating vessel, the gas is taken out from its top part 105 and fed to a NCG system 14' associated with the pulp factory.
