PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating machine such as a motor and a generator having a small body and effective heat radiation. SOLUTION: A radial rib (projected part) 31 is provided on the inner side of brackets 30 and 40 at both ends of a motor shaft. A motor is so assembled that the rib 31 is arranged between gaps between adjoining coil ends 14 of a stator. In addition, the rib (projected part) 31 is used as a cooling-medium path, the radiation of the stator winding is improved more, and a small motor with high efficiency is obtained. An elastic member with superior heat radiation and insulation may be put between a coil end 14 and the inner face of a bracket.
