PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of a luggage compartment opening and closing structure of a vehicle without impairing strength and rigidity. SOLUTION: On an upper end part of a rear frame 3 fixed to a load carrying platform. a rail 3c and a chain 3e are provided. Left and right beams 10 are supported by left and right supporting bodies 9 mounted on the rail 3c so as to be movable in a car width direction. On the beams 10, wings 7 are mounted freely rotatably in the vertical direction and side tip parts of a roof 8 formed so as to be foldable into two are connected. The supporting bodies 9 are provided with hydraulic cylinders 11 rotating the wings 7, wheels 9a for moving the supporting bodies 9, geared motors and sprockets 9c.
