PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a swing easier, to suppress the delay in swinging and to improve the rate of meeting by specifying an overall length and the inertia moment around a grip end in constituting a golf club. SOLUTION: The golf club 1 is so constituted that its overall length attains >=47 inches and its inertia moment around the grip end attains <=290 g.m2. As a result, the rate of meeting is improve, a carry is prolonged and directivity is stabilized. The overall length of the golf club 1 is defined by the distance L between a point Q where an axis X and a grip end face 5a intersect and a point R where the axis X and the bottom end 10a of a head 10 intersect when the central axis of a shaft 2 is defined as X. The inertia moment Ie around the grip end is defined by the expression: Ic+Cw.P2. In the expression, Ic is the inertia moment around the centroid (balance point BP) of the club; Ch is the total weight of the club and P is the distance between the BP point and the Q point which is the grip end.
|
