PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance efficiency for rolling roll maintenance work by forming roll maintenance work processes, which are carried out in separate processes conventionally, into a continuous process. SOLUTION: This roll working equipment is composed of a roll supporting rotary device for supporting a worked roll 4 and comprising a bed 17/a tail stock 5/a head stock 1, an X-Y table 15 disposed neighboring thereto to allow optional positioning in the roll-axial direction and the direction perpendicular thereto, and a working head 16/a flaw detector 14 a washer 10 provided on the X-Y table. Processes for roll chock disassembling and assembling/roll washing/surface working flaw inspection, which are processed in individual equipments/sites conventionally, are integrated into one equipment, waiting times and conveyance in the respective processes are eliminated thereby to carry out the respective processes continuously. |
