PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive multidirectional operating switch providing a good operability and facilitating assembly. SOLUTION: An operating member 8 is constructed with a knob 8a, receiver 8b, and a pair of arms 8c. A spring member 7 is constructed with a base 7a and a pair of elastic arms 7b. The base 7a of the spring member 7 is placed on a bottom wall 2a of a casing 1. A pair of the elastic arms 7b are respectively latched on a pair of the arms 8c, and the spring part 7 presses the receiver 8b against a top wall 3a of the casing 1 to maintain the operating member to 8 at a neutral position. When the operating member 8 is pushed, the operating member 8 operates at least one of switches 4, 5, 6 resisting against the spring member 7. When the operating member 8 is tilted, at least one of the switches 4, 5, 6 are operated. When the push operation or the tilt operation is released, the operating member 8 is returned to the neutral position by the spring member 7.
