<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device, transmitting and receiving data of a I/O device on a computer network, which use smaller disk space of a server, is adaptive to various platforms, can obtain status information of the I/O device. SOLUTION: The method and device operate in the environment of a network 300 which has a client 305 which works as an initiator, a server 310 and an I/O device 350. An initiator 305 requests the server 310 to execute input/output transaction and determines specific items of the transaction with the server 310. When preparations for starting the request are made, the server fetches data from some location and transmits the data to others.</p> |
