PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To slide an auxiliary bar back ward for loading a boat to prevent the boat from contacting to a rear hatch, a rear spoiler, or a tier of a vehicle. SOLUTION: Slide holding mechanisms 9, 10 fixed on a basic carrier selectively fixes an auxiliary bar 4 at a first position where the rear end of the auxiliary bar does not extend from a roof end and a second position where it extends, and a cargo support bar 5 is fixed at the rear end of the auxiliary bar. The slide holding mechanisms are provided under the basic carrier, and comprise a main member in a U shape inside which the auxiliary bar 4 passes through, and a roller 25 supporting the auxiliary bar 4. A fixing means comprises stoppers 26a, 26b, and a groove 28 that is provided on the bottom surfaces of the stoppers 26a, 26b and engages with the roller 25. The main member in a U shape has a rod member provided to hold the stopper between the roller 25 and itself, and the rod member is fixed to the main member for moving in a direction contacting/leaving the roller 25.
