PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera case with a sufficient protection function as a camera shoe, detachable from a camera very easily and speedily enough to be used by a professional cameraman. SOLUTION: A suspender insertion hole 6 for inserting a camera suspender of a camera body is bored on one side of the case body 2 of this camera case, and an inverted L-shaped lever 7 is fixed to the outer surface of the side of the case body 2 at the position of the suspender insertion hole, with the lower end of the lever covering the insertion hole 6. A narrow slit piece 10, which can be opened/closed, is formed on the other side of the case body 2 from near the upper edge of a notched part 3 for camera lens toward the front of the case body, and a notched groove 11 for inserting the camera suspender of the camera body is formed on the lower edge of the slit piece 10. Snaps 12a, 12b for detachably fixing the top of the slit piece to the case body 2 are attached between the top of the slit piece 10 and the case body.
