PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mat fastener which is surely attachable to a mat with polypropylene being incinerable without emitting dioxine. SOLUTION: In this mat fastener 21, it is provided with an outer casing 23 formed with a flange 33 in contact with the one side surface of a mat on the one end circumference of an outer cylindrical part 27, an inner casing 25 having an inner cylindrical part 39 to be inserted into an inner circumference of the outer cylindrical part 27 while formed with a flange 41 in contact with the other side surface of the mat on the other end circumference of this inner cylindrical part 39, an engaged means being unevenly installed in the inner circumference of the outer cylindrical part 27 and the outer circumference of the inner cylindrical part 39 in the radial direction and consisting of a recess (peripheral groove 43) and projections (convex 45) to be engaged with each other, and each slit 47 made up by cuting at least one spot of the inner cylindrical part 39 along the axial direction from the one end side, respectively.
