DC-DC CONVERTER PROVIDED WITH INDUCTOR CURRENT DETECTOR AND ITS ADJUSTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC-DC converter and a method for precisely detecting output current for the adjustment of the converter by permitting peak current control loop circuit to control a power switch reacting to a current detector in cooperation with a pulse width modulation circuit and giving values by which the current detector substantially becomes an instantaneous current detector for a resistor and a capacitor. SOLUTION: A current detector 20 which is connected in parallel to an output inductor LOUT and which is for detecting current passing through the output inductor LOUT is arranged. The current detector 20 has a resistor RCS and a capacitor CCS, which are connected in series. The current detector 20 is connected to a peak current control loop circuit 22. The peak current control loop circuit 22 controls power switches 11 and 12 reacting to the current detector 20 in cooperation with a pulse width modulation circuit 16. The resistor RCS and the capacitor CCS have values with which the current detector 20 substantially functions as an instantaneous current detector.
