PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print system capable of easily acquiring various types of setting contents related to the printing of a printer driver or a printer which affect the printed result and easily correlating these setting contents and printed result. SOLUTION: A printer driver 16 integrated in a host computer 10 adds the setting data of the printer driver 16 into PDL print data 22 and transfers these data to the printer. A data analysis part 18 of a printer 12 for receiving the PDL print data 22 transferred from the printer driver 16 extracts the setting data of the printer driver 16 out of the PDL print data 22 while distinguishing them from the print data of a document, etc. Then, a printer engine part 20, which receives a printing instruction from the data analytic part 18, prints the print data of the document, etc., in the PDL print data 22 and prints the setting data of the printer driver 16 as a different page.
