LIGHT DIFFUSING LAYER AND OPTICAL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light-diffusing layer and an optical device in which a sharp image can be obtd. with little distortion of the display light while keeping the preventing function against a ghost and glare. SOLUTION: The light-diffusing layer consists of a UV-curing resin coating film 1 having a surface fine rugged structure 11. The layer shows diffusion characteristics that the intensity ratio A/B of transmitted light in the perpendicular direction (A) and the light in a direction (B) tilted by 2 deg. from the direction (A) ranges from 6 to 11. The optical device has the aforementioned light- diffusing layer on one or both surfaces of an optical layer. Thereby, a display device having excellent visibility and sharpness in an image can be formed.
