<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a golf ball which has a further excellent flying characteristic and has advanced performance when viewed overall while having the ball hitting feel, durability and repulsion performance required for a ball structure. SOLUTION: The golf ball, which has a core 1, >=2 upper and lower layers of covers 2 and 3 for covering the core and is formed with many dimples on the surface of the uppermost layer cover, is characterized in that the hardness of the core is 3.0 to 6.O mm in the deformation rate at the time of loading with a 100-kg load, the hardness of the uppermost layer cover is 58 to 70 in Shore D hardness, the product (A×B) of the Shore D hardness B of the uppermost layer cover and the Shore D hardness B of the cover on the immediate inner side of the uppermost layer cover is in a range of 1,500 to 5,000, the golf ball has at least three kinds of the dimples varying in diameter and/or depth as the dimples described above, the ratio AD/AP of the average diameter (AD) and average depth (AP) of the dimples is 27 to 33 and the total volume of the dimples which is the total sum of the entire dimple of the dimple space volume under the plane enclosed by the edges of the respective dimples is 260 to 340 mm2.</p> |
