<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an efficient method for dehalogenating halogenated hydrocarbon itself or as impurities in other substances in a chemically and technically simple manner. SOLUTION: Halogenated hydrocarbon is reacted with a reductive metal and a hydrogen donating compd. in the presence of amine. It is pref. to react halogenated hydrocarbon with lithium, potassium, calcium, sodium, magnesium, aluminum, zinc or iron. Corresponding to the kind of a metal, perfect reductive dehalogenation reaction occurs within a temp. range of room temp.-400 deg.C.</p> |
