PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate offset component, etc., in an RF frequency signal. SOLUTION: Detection signals A-D detected by an optical pickup 2 are arithmetically processed by an RF signal generating circuit 11 and a push-pull signal generating circuit 12 respectively and thereby a pre-processed signal SRFF and a push-pull signal SPP are generated. An offset component, etc., in the pre- processed signal SRFF are offset by modulating the pre-processed signal SRFF by an RF signal modulating circuit 14 based on the push-pull signal SPP, and the RF signal is generated with the offset component, etc., suppressed.
