PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an angle sensor capable of accurately detecting angle in wide rage with a small and simple constitution and measuring the detected angle by a little electric operation process. SOLUTION: A light diffusion plate 6 and a light shield plate 2 are attached to a shaft l having swing motion and a light source 4 is arranged in the shaft side of the light shield plate 2 and a two-split optical sensor 5 is put via a slit plate 3 opposite to the shaft of the light shield plate 2 in an angle sensor. In the angle sensor, two outputs of A and B of the two-split optical sensor are input in respective current/voltage conversion circuits, their outputs are input in a circuit for summing A and B, the output is input in a control circuit controlling the output to be constant and the output of the control circuit is connected to the light source 4. In addition, in the angle sensor, the two outputs A and B of the two-split optical sensor are input in respective current/voltage conversion circuits, the outputs are input in a circuit calculating the difference and the output is made an electric output of the angle sensor.
