摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and easily detect the defective curved shape of an annular fluorescent lamp by fixing one end face of the bulb of the lamp along the radial direction of the annular shape of the lamp and measuring the deviated amount between both end faces of the bulb in the radial direction. SOLUTION: The bulb 1 of a fluorescent lamp 1a is fixed by sandwiching the bulb 1 between a fixed pin 11b and a movable pin 11c by moving the movable pin 11c while one end face 2 of the bulb 1 is brought into contact with a positioning plate 11a set up on a base and the external surface of the bulb 1 is brought into contact with the fixed pin 11b. Then both ends 2 of the lamp 1a are set in the visual field 4a of a camera and an extent 4a including the lower edges 2a of the projecting sections of both end faces 2 of the bulb 1 fixed in the above-mentioned way is fetched as a picture by using the lower edges 2a as reference points. From the fetched picture, the radial deviation (r) between both ends 2 is measured through picture processing. When the measured deviation (r) is almost zero, both ends 2 roughly lie on the same circumference and, when both ends 2 are-connected, a case 3 can be fitted to the bulb 1 in a nice annular shape. When the deviation (r) is large, both ends 2 do not lie on the same circumference and the bulb 1 is discriminated as a defective product.
