PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound having excellent plant disease damage controlling power over gray mold of cucumber, or the like. SOLUTION: This compound is represented by formula I [R1 to R5 are each H, a halogen, an alkyl or the like; R6 is a (substituted) alkyl, a (substituted) alkenyl, a (substituted) alkynyl or the like; X is a (substituted) phenyl, a (substituted) alkoxy, a (substituted) alkenyloxy or the like; Y is O or S]. The compound of formula I is obtained, for example, by reacting an alkali metal salt of formula II [R11 to R51 are each H, a halogen, an alkyl or the like; R61 is a (substituted) alkyl, a (substituted) alkenyl, a substituted alkynyl or the like] with a compound of formula III (Z is a halogen) (e.g. methyl chloroformate, or the like) in an organic solvent such as 1,4-dioxane usually at 80-140 deg.C generally for 0.1-5 hours. The metal salt of formula II is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II with sodium hydride, or the like, usually at 60-120 deg.C generally for 1-12 hours.
