PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve maneuverability, and improve durability of a carcass by increasing fatigue resistance of a carcass ply steel cord. SOLUTION: In a passenger car pneumatic radial tire, at least an embedded cord ofone carcass ply is made of a steel cord. Rubber layers 8a, 8b are arranged between a carcass 2 and belts 4 and/or between the carcass 2 and an inner liner layer 7, and then have widths ranging from 20 to 120% of that of a first belt ply with respect to a tire width direction.
