PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the carrying-in of materials and machines efficiently and facilitate installation and removal works of a tower crane securing a wide open part on the roof when the tower crane is installed on the roof of a building under construction. SOLUTION: This installation method is used when a steel frame is preassembled to a top floor to build a building 1. An optional pillar 3 is installed outside the building 1, and a mount 16 protruding from the roof 2 of the building 1 is installed on the extending part of the pillar 3. Further, on the top of the mount 16, a plane surface part facing to the base 15 of a tower crane C is prepared. Next, the base 15 of the tower crane C is fixed on the plane surface part of the mount 16 and then the tower crane C is erected.
