PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make detectable a target without being affected by the area or distance of the target by performing a binarizing processing inside a window, which is set by a variable window circuit corresponding to a calculated threshold, and calculating the position of the target from a binary image. SOLUTION: A division weighting circuit 24 operates the weight of a window size to be divided and longitudinal and lateral divided coordinate setting circuits 27 and 28 set longitudinal and lateral division sizes and coordinates. Corresponding to the set window size, a variable window circuit 31 extracts luminance information to be operated from an image memory. A mean value operating circuit 33 calculates a mean value in the set window. An offset setting circuit 34 calculates an offset value in the set window. A threshold operating circuit 37 calculates the threshold for binarizing processing. A spatial binarizing circuit 38 performs the binarizing processing with the threshold value set by the threshold value operating circuit inside the set window. Then, a position detecting circuit 10 detects the coordinate of the target from the binary image. |
