PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resonance type light detector in which responsiveness and speed is improved. SOLUTION: A resonance type light detector assembly 10 converts lights into electric signals by using the reflection of a plurality of lights inside a light detector 20. The light detector 20 includes the combination of almost plane-shaped semiconductor layers including a light detector activating layer 36 in which lights are converted into electric outputs, and also includes a first outside electric contact layer 34 and a second outside electric contact layer 42. A waveguide 22 is positioned on the light detector 20, and provided with a waveguide activating layer 26 arranged between a pair of waveguide cladding layers 24 and 28, a first edge part 30 for receiving inputted lights, and a second edge part 50 for reflecting lights. A reflecting part 32 is positioned at the second edge part of the waveguide with an angle to a line in parallel with a substrate 14 for reflecting lights received at the first edge part of the waveguide activating layer 26 to the light detector 20. A reflecting part 38 is positioned at the second outside layer 42 of the light detector 20 as a reflecting surface for reflecting lights inside the light detector 20. |
