IMAGE TRANSMITTER, IMAGE PROCESSOR, IMAGE DISPLAY SYSTEM AND THEIR METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image processor by requesting still picture information to a host when the still picture information is required and displaying a picture based on received moving picture information or still picture information to cope with requests without deteriorating the response of the image display system even when the requests of the same still picture are concentrated within a short time interval. SOLUTION: A system control section 1212 discriminates whether or not still picture data of a still generating to be displayed are stored in a data buffer 1207. When not stored, the system control section 1212 controls a high speed serial I/F control section 1206 to request transfer of the still picture data to a host. Upon the receipt of the requested still picture data, the high speed serial I/F control section 1206 gives the data to the data buffer 1207. The received still picture data are fed to a display section 13 via a digital video transmission section 1211 similarly to the case with a moving picture, where the requested still picture by a user is displayed.
