PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery having a pressure releasing valve capable of reliably operating at a comparatively low pressure. SOLUTION: This sealed battery 1 has a pressure releasing valve 5 for releasing a pressure inside the battery by cleavage. The pressure releasing valve 5 is disposed in a small-area face near a junction part 10 between a large-area face 7 and the small-area face, while having a groove part 9 cleaving in operation. The groove part 9 cleaving in operation is disposed at a position allowing action of deforming force caused by deformation of the large-area face 7. |
