PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement a power source brake with accuracy in correspondence to instructions of a driver in an electric vehicle. SOLUTION: The power system of a vehicle is formed by series-connecting an engine 10, a motor 20, a torque converter 30, a transmission 100 and axles 17. The transmission is so constructed that the gear ratio can be changed through control by a control unit 70. A driver can operate the shift lever and the like in the car to instruct deceleration by a power source brake. The control unit refers to a map and selects a speed corresponding to the instructed deceleration. When the accelerator is turned off, the torque of the motor is feedback- controlled based on a detection signal from an acceleration sensor mounted on the vehicle so that braking is implemented at the requested deceleration. |
