PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television camera device of a present television system capable of being easily changed to the television camera device of a high definition television system. SOLUTION: This television camera device for transmitting digitized video signals transmitted from a camera head part 15 through a transmission line 6 to a camera control part 16 is provided with a first parallel/serial conversion means 10 for converting the parallel digital video signals of n channels and m bits to the serial digital video signals of k channels, a second parallel/serial conversion means 11 for converting the serial digital video signals of the k channels inputted from the first parallel/serial conversion means 10 to one serial digital video signal and a bypass means for bypassing the serial digital video signal of the required channel of the serial digital video signals of the k channels inputted to the second parallel/serial conversion means 11 by changeover.
