PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a device body by setting an original platen at a first position in the case of reading the small size original having high using frequency and setting the original platen to a second position in the case of reading the large size original having low using frequency. SOLUTION: An image read part 7 is normally set to the first position provided with the image read range area of the original D to a relatively small size, an auxiliary original pressurization part 9b provided with small width is housed in a housing part 61 provided below an operation part 8 and only an original pressurization part 9a is used. In the case the size of the original D is relatively large or the like, the original platen 2, the original pressurization part 9a and the auxiliary original pressurization part 9b are integrally slide to an image reading and recording device body 1 and the left side part of the original platen 2 and the auxiliary original pressurization part 9b are pulled out from the housing part 61. Then, both of the original pressurization part 9a and the auxiliary original pressurization part 9b are used in a state of being set to the second position provided with the image read range area of the original D to the size larger than the size of the original D at the first position. |
