PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a communication equipment that utilizes effectively dial information once entered as dial information such as an abbreviated dial number or a one-touch dial. SOLUTION: When a ten-key is used to enter a destination telephone number and the destination telephone number is new, a facsimile equipment stores the entered destination telephone number to a temporary storage memory 11 together with number of times of entry, and when the telephone number is not new, whether or not number of input times of the destination telephone number reaches a preset number of times N. When the number of times of the input does not reach the N, the facsimile equipment increments number of times of the entry by one and stores it to the temporary storage memory 11, and when the destination telephone number reaches the N, the destination telephone number and the destination name or the like are transferred from the temporary storage memory 11 to a one-touch dial storage area or an abbreviation dial storage area of a registration memory 12 so as to be assigned to an idle one-touch dial number or abbreviation dial number (steps S101-S109).
