PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch a function of outputting the line number of a calling side, which is transmitted from a network, to an on or off state before connecting a line to the calling side according to the using environment of a device main body by switching a caller's number outputting means to the on state at the time of receiving a prescribed signal when the caller's number outputting means is off. SOLUTION: A telephone set 1 is constituted of a control part 2, a receiving part 3, an operation part 4, a display part 5, an informing part 6 informing by turning on calling, a communication part 7 controlling a signal inputted/ outputted through a line, and an on-hook part 8 switching to an on-hook state or an off-hook state. This set 1 is provided with a caller's number outputting function displaying the line number of the calling side on the part 5 when the line number of the transmitting side is transmitted from an exchange arranged in the network before connecting the line to the calling side, and is provided with a function of switching the on or off state concerning this caller's number outputting function.
