PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensitive material processor capable of discriminating the kind of sensitive material without using an information communicating means such as a bar code. SOLUTION: This processor is provided with an irradiation part 51a radiating detecting light L to the surface of the sensitive material P, a light receiving part 51b receiving the detecting light L reflected from the surface of the material P, a CPU 54 deciding the reflectance RP of the material P on the basis of the intensity of the detecting light radiated from the irradiation part 51a and the intensity of the detecting light L received by the light receiving part 51b, and amonitor display 59 performing warning display when the reflectance RP decided by the CPU 54 is different from a specified value, so that an operator recognizes that the sensitive material to be processed is the material of a different kind by viewing the warning display of the monitor display 59.
