PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera stabilizer having an improved operability and capable of easily catching an photographing target even in the case where the zooming magnification is suddenly changed. SOLUTION: The stabilizer is provided with a zooming magnification detecting means 21 for detecting the zooming magnification of a camera lens 11a. A value inputted by an input device 14 is converted to a velocity by a gimbal rotation control means 13, and the rotation of a gimbal mechanism 12 is controlled at a driving speed which is obtained by multiplying the speed by a gain which is in reverse proportion to the zoom magnification detected by the zooming magnification detecting means 21. Even in the case where the zooming magnification is suddenly changed, the photographing target can easily be caught.
