PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate heat deterioration of an elastic member for the heat fixing member. SOLUTION: This fixing device, respectively provided with an elastic member 26, provided with a first and a second heating member 14 and 15 held in press contact with each other so that these elastic members are held in contact with each other, and provided with heating means 27 heating at least, one hand of heating members between the first and the second heating member, is allowed to make the developer on the transfer sheet 30 put in a contact part between first and second heat fixing members 14 and 15 heated/fused, and fixed on a transfer sheet 30. The device is provided with at least, heat deterioration estimating means 31 estimating the extent of the heat deterioration of the elastic member 26 based on the conducting time to the heating means 27. |
