PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the peeling of a light transmissive layer from a master disk and to produce an optical substrate. SOLUTION: In a 1st step, a master disk 10 with a formed rugged pattern and a substrate 34 are prepared. In a 2nd step, the patterned surface of the master disk 10 and the substrate 34 are brought into contact with each other by way of a precursor 32 of a light transmissive layer. In a 3rd step, the precursor 32 is solidified to form a light transmissive layer 30 and the master disk 10 is peeled from the light transmissive layer 30. The master disk 10 has a low adhesion layer 16 having low adhesion to the precursor 32 in the patterned surface.
