PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a low resistant material from peeling off from a cathode- ray tube built-in resistance to cause spark discharge between electrodes or to be defects on a screen. SOLUTION: In this cathode-ray tube built-in resistance 16, a resistant pattern part 2 of high resistance in a zigzag shape, for example, is formed on an insulative substrate 1 such as ceramics. A low resistant electrode drawn part 3 coupled to the resistant pattern part 2 is formed on both end parts of the resistant pattern part 2, if necessary, on one, two or more middle parts. A cylindrical metal rivet 5 is inserted into an opening hole 4 disposed in a terminal drawn part 27 positioned near the electrode drawn part 3 but positioned different therefrom. A metal terminal 6 integrated with a connecting ribbon 7 is welded on the cylindrical end of the metal rivet 5 except flat part thereof. On a part of the metal terminal 6, a recessed part 8 is disposed so as to press-contact to the electrode drawn part 3 with a high contact pressure and to attain preferable electric connection characteristics.
