PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a display plate receive less wind pressure by making wind blown to the display plate easy to flow away and to prevent a sign plate from coming into contact with a suspension bar to have its surface flawed or falling and flying away owing to the breakage of its fitting part which is loaded even if the sign plate swings large to move upward. SOLUTION: The sign device S has a column 1 and four suspension bars 2 are provided in stages at the upper part of the column 1. Each suspension bar 2 is fitted with a rectangular sign plate 3 so that it freely swings on a bearing tool 6. The sign plate 3 is divided at its center part into two constituent plates 30 and 31. The constituent plates 30 and 31 have their lower end parts joined together by a clip 32. The swing of the sign plate 3 is limited within a specific angle range by a swing angle control tool 7.
