<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use a small display area of a portable telephone set by using a battery display area so as to display setting of a car kit mode when the portable telephone set is mounted on a vehicle and charging in the car kit mode. SOLUTION: The portable telephone set is provided with a control means with which, when a charging state of an internal power supply 20 is detected and a set detection means 18 detects that the portable telephone set is placed on a placing section, an external speaker mode is set, a voice of a receiver is outputted to an external speaker connection section and display of power consumption of the internal power supply 20 is inhibited and when the mode is not the external speaker mode, the voice of the receiver is not outputted to the external speaker connection section and the display of the consumption of the internal power supply 20 is permitted.</p> |
