METHOD FOR ESTIMATING QUANTITY OF DIOXINS IN INCINERATED ASH AND TREATMENT OF INCINERATIED ASH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating the quantity of dioxins in incinerated ash rapidly and simply and a treatment method capable of reducing the quantity of dioxins in incinerated ash. SOLUTION: In an incinerated ash treatment method, a ratio [Fe(3)/Fe(T) value] of trivatent iron to the total amt. of iron in inineration ash is calculated and a amt. of dioxins in incinerated ash is estimated on the basis of this value. The ratio [Fe(3)/Fe(T) value] of trivalent iron to the total amt. of iron in incineration ash is calculated, and the incineration ash wherein the Fe(3)/Fe(T) value is below 0.5 is heated to 650 deg.C or higher in an oxidizing atmosphere, until the Fe(3)/Fe(T) value becomes 0.5 or more.
