A method for the fabrication of a fiber glass coating consists of covering with a non-woven elastic voile, such as a polyester, a first face of a coating preformer made up of intermingled glass fibres, and proceeding with a knitting by needles such that it punctually entrains the voile by elastically deforming it in order to form some filaments crossing the coating leaving the first face and this in a manner so that the filaments project onto the second face of the coating. The next step includes coating the second face with a layer of resin. The product may then be pressed at a temperature greater than the melting point of the synthetic fibres used in the fabrication. A wall panel made up of a glass fiber coating obtained by this method which is glued by its lower face on a wall panel or roof, for example made up of a boarding or roof of profiled steel sheet, is also claimed. |
